Privacy Policy
Go!Gosling is a chat-first life assistant. This policy explains what we collect, what we do not collect, and the controls you have. The guiding principle: your personal health data never leaves your device, and we never act on your behalf without asking.
1. Your health data stays on your device
Go!Gosling reads Apple Health (HealthKit) data only on your device, to show you your own insights (heart rate, sleep, activity, recovery). Your HealthKit data, any summaries of it, and any prompts about your health are never transmitted off your device, never sent to our servers, never sent to any third-party or remote AI model, and never used for advertising. Health-related questions are answered fully on-device. Only general, non-health requests (e.g. "find a cafe nearby") may use our server.
2. What we collect
Account information (email): if you create an account, we store your email and an encrypted credential to sign you in — used for app functionality only. Sign-in is optional and is not required to use Chat or Health. Coarse, non-identifying context: to make local-life suggestions relevant (e.g. a coarse region code). We do not collect precise location. Operational data: minimal, non-identifying logs to keep the service running and secure. We do not build advertising profiles.
3. What we do NOT do
We do not sell or rent your data. We do not use your data to track you across other apps or websites. We do not show ads. We do not transmit or share your health data.
4. Memory you control
Go!Gosling can remember helpful patterns (e.g. "you usually compare options before deciding"). Memory is never written silently — a candidate is saved only after you confirm it, and you can review, edit, pause, or delete what it remembers at any time, on your device.
5. Actions require your confirmation
Anything that books, sends, pays, shares, or opens another app shows you exactly what it will do and asks for your permission each time. A confirmation is good for one action only.
6. Your rights and choices
Delete your account and data: available in the app under Settings → Account. Deleting your account removes your server-side account data. Manage memory: pause or delete remembered items in the app at any time. Revoke Health access: in iOS Settings → Privacy → Health at any time.
7. Data security, retention & children
We protect account data in transit (TLS) and at rest. We retain account data only while your account exists; when you delete your account, associated server data is removed. Go!Gosling is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date.

9. Cookies and similar technologies (website)
This section describes gogosling.ca. The Go!Gosling iOS app uses on-device processing described in Sections 1–7 above. We use browser local storage—not advertising or cross-site tracking cookies—to run the site. Essential storage: gosling-lang (your EN/FR/中文 choice until you clear browser data); gosling-consent (your cookie notice choice and policy version). Optional analytics are off by default; if we enable them later, we will name the tool here and ask for opt-in via the cookie banner. Waitlist backup: if you join the launch list, gosling-waitlist may temporarily store your email in your browser when submission fails or before our server confirms—clear it anytime in browser settings.
